Pat and Alison moved to Vancouver Island in 2013 from Ontario in order to be closer to family.
Pat is a Certified Chef de Cuisine and has worked at many prestigious hotels and resorts, including The Prince of Wales and Pillar & Post hotels in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario and the Holiday Beach Resort in Curacao. After working as Corporate Chef at Niagara College Pat moved on to become part of the opening team of Casino Niagara as their Executive Director of Food & Beverage.
Alison (originally from England) is also from the hospitality industry, working as Food & Beverage Manager at the Pillar & Post Inn (where they met!) and then at White Oaks Inn & Conference Resort, both in Niagara-on-the-Lake. During this time, and for several years afterwards, Alison worked as an Instructor at Niagara College’s Hospitality Campus, designing and delivering programs in Customer Service.
After 8 successful seasons in their own business, (and a gentle nudge from their daughter living in Victoria! And closer to their son in Australia!) Alison & Pat decided it was time for a new beginning and in October 2013 made the move to B.C. They are both very excited about this new phase of their life on Vancouver Island!
